Council Leader thanks staff for outstanding service during heatwave

Cllr Tessa Hodgson, Leader of Pembrokeshire County Council, has issued a message of thanks to staff across the organisation for their commitment during this recent heatwave.
She said: “On behalf of the Council, I want to sincerely thank all our staff their exceptional dedication and resilience shown during this period of extreme heat.
“Our teams have continued to deliver vital services to our communities, putting the public first, and shown professionalism, reliability and genuine care while working in these challenging conditions.
“I am incredibly proud of the way colleagues have stepped up to ensure residents continue to receive the support they rely on.”
The Leader acknowledged the additional pressures placed on staff during the hot weather, particularly in already demanding roles.
“We recognise that the high temperatures have placed considerable strain on many of our services, and appreciate the way staff have adapted and supported each other.
Cllr Hodgson also highlighted the importance of staff well-being, urging colleagues to take necessary precautions in the hot weather.
She added: “Thank you once again for everything you do for our communities. Your efforts are valued and greatly appreciated.”
