Don’t miss deadline to register to vote in election next month

The deadline to register to vote in the Police and Crime Commissioner election on 2nd May draws closer.

Pembrokeshire residents have until midnight on Tuesday, 16th April to register to vote. This can be done online via the UK Government website.

If you are voting in person you will need to provide photographic ID but if you don’t have any you can apply online for a Voter Authority Certificate (VAC) before 5pm Wednesday, 24th April.

If you want to register for a Postal Vote this must be done by 5pm Wednesday, 17th April or if you require a Proxy Vote you must register by 5pm Wednesday, 24th April. Apply via the UK Government website.

If you are unable to return your postal vote via Royal Mail post boxes as usual, you can hand them in at a polling station or County Hall main reception but you must complete a vote return form. Without the completed form those postal vote(s) will be rejected. 

You can only hand in your own postal vote, and postal votes for up to five other people.
