Pembrokeshire County Council is pleased to announce that construction work on the new Gwêl yr Hafan social housing development at the former Motorworld site on Charles Street, Milford Haven, is scheduled to commence next week, Monday, October 6th.
The development, which will deliver 24 sheltered accommodation flats, is being constructed by WB Griffiths on behalf of the Council.
The build is expected to take approximately 20 months, subject to site conditions and project progress.
To ensure residents and stakeholders are kept informed and have the opportunity to engage with the development, Pembrokeshire Housing Services will be hosting a Community Engagement Drop-in Event on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 4pm - 7pm.
The venue for the event is The Lord Nelson, 9 Hamilton Terrace, Milford Haven, SA73 3AW.
Members of the Housing Services team and project representatives will be available to share further information, answer questions, and listen to feedback from the local community.
Pembrokeshire County Council Cabinet Member for Housing, Cllr Michelle Bateman, said: “I am looking forward to seeing progress on this site which will deliver much needed affordable sheltered accommodation.
“I hope local residents take the opportunity to meet with the developers and housing staff to ask any questions share their views.”
