Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at Parc Gwyn? Pembrokeshire County Council invites you to a public open day at Parc Gwyn Crematorium on Saturday, 19 September, 11am to 4pm.
You are invited to attend this open day at our crematorium, memorial gardens and beautifully landscaped grounds overlooking the Pembrokeshire countryside. You can meet our experienced team and gain an understanding of the services that we provide in a welcoming and respectful environment.
The grounds and crematorium were thoughtfully designed in the 1960’s providing a place for reflection, remembrance and comfort. Visitors will have the opportunity to walk through the gardens, appreciate the carefully maintained landscape and experience the calm and serene atmosphere that supports families through some of their most significant moments.
The open day is also an opportunity to help remove some of the uncertainty that surrounds cremation. Many people have questions about the process but don’t know who to ask. Our knowledgeable and compassionate staff will be available throughout the day to explain how the cremation process works, discuss the facilities and answer questions with openness, sensitivity and professionalism.
Whether planning ahead, supporting a loved one, or simply wishing to learn more, visitors are encouraged to attend and discover how our dedicated staff deliver dignified, respectful care tailored to the needs of every family.
Cabinet Member for Residents’ Services, Cllr Rhys Sinnett said: “Parc Gwyn Crematorium plays an important role in supporting families across Pembrokeshire at some of the most difficult times in their lives.
“This open day is an opportunity for residents to learn more about the care, professionalism and compassion that underpin the services provided, as well as to explore the beautiful and peaceful surroundings that offer comfort and remembrance. We welcome anyone who would like to find out more, ask questions, or share their views on the future of the service.”
There will be guided tours of the facility with staff members and time to ask questions in an informal, pressure free setting.
Norman Industries, Pembrokeshire County Council’s Supported Employment scheme, has been commissioned to produce fitting family memorial plaques and benches for the meadow where requested.
During your visit we will be keen to hear from you about our services and what we could consider providing in the future.
Refreshments will be available to purchase from the Cwm Dine team.
We look forward to welcoming you to Parc Gwyn on 19 September.
