Interested in Learning Welsh? Now is your chance as Learn Welsh Pembrokeshire are offering new 30 week courses for complete beginners starting this September for just £50.

Three Pembrokeshire residents who have embraced learning Welsh are Kevin Davies from Wolf’s Castle and Julie and Tim Kirby from St. Nicholas.

Kevin Davies is this year’s winner of the Learn Welsh Pembrokeshire Learner of the Year Award.

Kevin uses every opportunity to speak Welsh. He attends coffee and chat sessions around the county and volunteers with Menter Iaith Sir Benfro at events.

“I am very happy to receive this award. The Welsh language has become an important part of my life since moving to Pembrokeshire. I am looking forward in continuing to use my Welsh when volunteering at events and raising money for the 2026 National Eisteddfod and encouraging others to learn the language.” said Kevin Davies.

Tim and Julie Kirby are the joint winners of this year’s Learn Welsh Pembrokeshire Best Effort Award.

Both have attended Sadyrnau Siarad, supplementary courses and Welsh events in their local community.
