Pembrokeshire County Council delivers affordable homes at Rose Haven Gardens, Rosemarket

Rose Haven Gardens provides both social housing and intermediate rent homes, helping to meet local housing needs and supporting residents who are unable to access accommodation on the open market.

A key feature of the development is the application of a local lettings approach ensuring that priority is given to people with strong connections to the area. This helps local residents remain within their communities and enables those with ties to the area to return.

The new homes form part of the Council’s ongoing commitment to increasing the supply of affordable housing across Pembrokeshire. The development contributes to tackling the housing crisis and ensures people can access safe, secure, and suitable homes within their own communities, including in rural areas where housing opportunities are often limited.

Designed with modern living in mind, the homes incorporate energy-efficient features that not only reduce environmental impact but also help to lower household energy costs, supporting long-term affordability for residents.

Rose Haven Gardens is part of Pembrokeshire County Council’s wider programme to address housing need, strengthen local communities, and deliver high quality homes across the county. By increasing the availability of affordable housing, particularly in rural areas, and prioritising local lettings, the Council is helping to support and sustain thriving communities for the future.

One tenant shared their experience of moving into their new home:

“We are very grateful to have been given the opportunity to make one of the new builds our home. The whole process has been stress free thanks to the support of the Council. We are looking forward to making memories here, and this would not have been possible without the Council investing in housing for those in need.”
