Pembrokeshire County Council is celebrating the completion of phase two of Maes Y Felin in St Davids.
The development, built by GRD Homes, now totals 18 homes across both phases.
Phase One of Llys Glas Fryn was completed in January 2025, delivering seven one‑ and two‑bedroom bungalows allocated through a local lettings policy developed with St Davids City Council.
Residents of Llys Glas Fryn have taken an active role in shaping their community.
Through regular interaction and engagement with neighbouring private residents, they have helped create a welcoming, inclusive environment that promotes community involvement, strengthens local connections and supports long‑term cohesion contributing to the continued vitality of the City of St Davids.
The completion of Llys Glas Fryn and Maes Y Felin represents a significant milestone in the Council’s Housing Development Programme, demonstrating its continued commitment to delivering high-quality affordable housing across Pembrokeshire.
The completion of these high quality homes will help to increase the supply of much needed affordable housing and contribute to addressing the current housing crisis across Pembrokeshire.
Maes Y Felin comprises eleven two‑bedroom bungalows, offering a mix of social and intermediate rent. Delivering a range of affordable tenures helps create balanced, inclusive developments that meet diverse housing needs.
All homes have been built to meet the latest Welsh Government’s Development Quality Requirements and are highly energy efficient, achieving an EPC A rating. Each property is fitted with solar panels to help reduce tenants’ energy costs.
All properties are owned and managed by Pembrokeshire County Council.
Building on the successful approach used at Llys Glas Fryn the properties will be allocated through a local lettings policy developed in partnership with St Davids City Council.
The policy has been slightly adapted from the phase 1 allocations in that it covers a wider local area, providing more local people with the opportunity to apply.
This approach will help residents remain living within their own community, strengthening community cohesion and supporting long term sustainability.
Cabinet Member for Housing Cllr Michelle Bateman said: “I’m delighted to see the completion of these new affordable homes in St Davids, which will make a real difference to local people and families. These new homes will help ensure that local residents have the opportunity to live and thrive in the communities they care about.
“This development reflects our ongoing commitment to working in partnership to deliver sustainable housing solutions that support our communities now and for the future.”
Anyone interested in applying for one of the homes will need to have an up-to-date housing application.
