Charitable organisation takes on tender for Street Homeless Outreach

Sefydliad elusennol yn ymgymryd â’r tendr ar gyfer Allgymorth Digartref ar y Stryd

Pembrokeshire County Council is happy to announce that a contract for the Assertive Outreach Service for Street Homeless has been awarded to The Wallich.

Following a competitive tendering process the charitable organisation will operate the local service under its three core objectives.

These are: Getting people off the streets; keeping people off the streets; and creating opportunities for people.

The organisation is set to make a positive impact in the county, offering a range of crucial housing services tailored to meet the diverse needs of the residents.

The Wallich held a launch event today, Tuesday, 10th October, on Castle Square, Haverfordwest to coincide with World Homelessness Day.

This event served as an opportunity for the community to meet the team, learn more about the services they offer, and engage in meaningful conversations about the importance of stable housing.

Representatives from The Wallich were present to answer questions and provide insights into their initiatives.

The team were available on Castle Square between 11am and 3pm, with a couple of their fleet vehicles to promote the service, answer any questions that people might have and to connect with fellow community members.

Cabinet Member for Housing Operations and Regulatory Services Councillor Michelle Bateman said: “Pembrokeshire County Council is proud to support this initiative, reinforcing our commitment to fostering a compassionate, inclusive, and supportive community for all.”
