People on the Council Tax Reduction Scheme will be contacted about their eligibility for government help for oil or liquid petroleum gas (LPG) heating costs.
A one-off payment of £200 for eligible households will be issued following an announcement by Welsh Government with the allocation of £3.8million by the UK Government.
Pembrokeshire County Council will contact households on the Council Tax Reduction Scheme directly and invite them to apply.
The scheme has been introduced as the conflict in the Middle East drives up prices.
Anyone facing severe financial hardship who does not qualify for this payment can apply to the Discretionary Assistance Fund.
The maximum award for heating oil has been increased from £500 to £750 and people can now apply up to twice in a 12-month period.
