There is still time to nominate an inspirational young person for the Pembrokeshire Spotlight Awards 2026, but the deadline is fast approaching.

These annual awards are a fantastic chance to celebrate the achievements, talents and resilience of children and young people in the county who achieve exceptional things, make a positive difference in their communities or overcome challenges.

Nominations can be made for individuals or groups across 11 award categories, and anyone can submit a nomination, including young people themselves.

Councillor Marc Tierney, Cabinet Member for Young People and the Well-being of Future Generations, said: "The Spotlight Awards are all about celebrating the extraordinary young people who make Pembrokeshire such a special place. Every nomination tells a story of talent, resilience, dedication or kindness.

“I encourage everyone to take a moment to recognise a deserving young person by submitting a nomination and helping us give them the spotlight they deserve."

Schools, youth organisations, community groups, family members and friends are urged to get their nominations in before the deadline to ensure these inspiring stories receive the recognition they deserve.

The closing date for nominations is 23 November 2026.

The awards are delivered through a partnership between the Children & Young People's Rights Office, Pembrokeshire Youth and Children's Services at Pembrokeshire County Council, sponsored by BAM Nuttall and Milford Haven Port Authority.
