The increasing demands on the Social Services department of Pembrokeshire County Council and the dedication of the workforce has been set out in an annual report.

This Foster Care Fortnight™, Foster Wales Pembrokeshire is calling on people in the area to consider becoming foster carers to support local young people in need.

Safeguarding our rural communities is the theme of a wide-ranging programme taking place across Mid and West Wales for National Safeguarding Week, from Monday, 13 November.

A teenager from Pembrokeshire with ambitions of becoming a police officer has won a Fostering Excellence Award, the UK’s most prestigious fostering accolade, recognising her exceptional achievements.

This National Adoption Week (16-22 October), the National Adoption Service for Wales (NAS) is continuing its mission to get more people to consider adoption, as sibling groups, children with additional needs, and older children across Wales still wait to find their ‘forever home’.

An Ysgol Caer Elen pupil and her family highlighted the experience of young carers on national television this month.

Tenants of the Bridge Innovation Centre (BIC), Pembroke Dock hosted a Summer Party for their friends and families and extended an invitation to those involved with foster care.
